In recent decades, only a handful of presidents have had second terms: Nixon, Reagan, Clinton, Bush Jr, and now Obama. Each of those second terms was hampered by accusations of scandal. Let’s compare the scandals by party. The Republicans had Watergate, Iran/Contra and Iraq War Lies. The Democrats had a blow job and throw-crap-to-the-wall-gate.
No contest.
So I came up with what could be a solution to the problems in the middle east this morning in a dream. It works like this. Israel cedes the settlements over ten years in exchange for greater military control over the dome of the rock (Temple Mount) with the promise not to make any alterations and to cede control over the dome once Palestine earns full autonomy. Meanwhile, the United States withdraws our objection to Palestinian statehood provided they can demonstrate 30 years of sustained autotonomy on a limited basis. They must establish a governance (Constitution) with elections and form a police (no military) and prosecute anyone who acts aggressively toward Israel. Should Israel go to war with any neighbor state, Palestinians may form a military unit under Israeli control to act as a sort of National Guard for the duration of the conflict only. After 30 years of continuous limited autonomy in this manner with no interruptions or violations, Palestine will be granted full autonomy, may form a military, and is granted full control over the dome. Thoughts?

What’s weird is that the very group that is angry with the government for not profiling blacks, middle easterners, or people in turbans, who want the government to pee test welfare recipients, who think children born in the US should be re-patriated to Mexico if that’s where their parents were born because why should “we” pay for them, who think the poor don’t pay their fair share in taxes, these same people are upset that the IRS put them on a list.
Seriously, fuck the TEA Party. Just fuck ‘em.
