What’s weird is that the very group that is angry with the government for not profiling blacks, middle easterners, or people in turbans, who want the government to pee test welfare recipients, who think children born in the US should be re-patriated to Mexico if that’s where their parents were born because why should “we” pay for them, who think the poor don’t pay their fair share in taxes, these same people are upset that the IRS put them on a list.

Because nematodes are not human beings.

Neither is a cluster of identical cells.

Except yes it is, because it’s human DNA.

A drop of blood is a cluster of human cells with human DNA. Is it murder to test your blood for diabetes?

No, because blood is not a separate and unique human being. I wasn’t saying destroying human DNA is murder, I was saying that the “clump of cells” is human because it has human DNA.

A blastocyst is also not a separate and unique human being. It’s a parasitic clump of undifferentiated cells, just like a tumor, just like a cancer. As the image notes, like a tumor and a cancer, a blastocyst is not sentient, it’s not autonomous, it’s incapable of feeling pain. It’s no different than a drop of blood or a benign biopsied mole. It’s not a person at this stage of development, just like an egg is not a chicken.

Here. A few observations, Sylvia says she’s right more often than she is wrong. If she has psychic powers, why is she EVER wrong? She says this is one of those times when she’s glad to be wrong. If that’s an acceptable excuse, then she should always err on the side of being thankfully wrong - which is what she does. Finally, using the cousin’s statement in this way is just adding opportunistic insult to opportunistic injury.

While it is wonderful that Sylvia Browne is finally being exposed in the media as a charlatan and a fraud, it is important to remember that she is only one in a long line of predatory fakers who have fed on the ignorance and gullibility of an emotionally fragile audience for years now. Psychics rely on nebulous claims and visual and verbal cues from their audience which allow them to confuse and capitalize on that confusion. Shame on Sylvia Browne. Shame on her enablers in the media. Shame on her peers in the “industry.” And shame on anyone who ever listens to any of these con men and woman again.

My best friend is psychic/clairvoyant… but he doesn’t flash it around like these frauds. He doesn’t want to be that way but he’s been that way all his life. His parents (mostly his over religious mother) thought he was crazy and had him institutionalized. He’s not crazy. And while yes I know cold readers are out there… he most certainly is not one of them.

I am far from delusional…I’m taking my own experiences into account here. I didn’t believe in shit until he was outright telling me things that no one else could ever know. Not just him fishing for clues or trying to pull information out of me, no telling me things play by play of how things happened. I question everything that happens to me, especially when it’s the unbelievable. So don’t sit there and say that I’m delusional when you yourself know nothing of what got me to my own conclusion.

I once had a run-in with a so-called psychic who said things he had no reason to know that seemed absolutely spot on. And I still think he was a fraud, and so is your delusional friend. Why? Because the whole concept of “psychic” is nonsensical bullshit.

A law abiding citizen who purchases a gun is a law abiding citizen, it is currently legal to own fire arms.

And, hypothetically, IF they outlaw guns (a suggestion being made only by 2nd amendment proponents in the form of straw man arguments) then ANYONE who acquires or retains a gun is a criminal. Frequently, we hear it said that, “If they outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns.” Since the people who often say this are also the same people who quote Charlton Heston, “You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hand,” I’m just putting 2 and 2 together.
